Geo Translation Manager Takes to the Road
July 20, 2015
With technology changing at lightning speed, project managers need to keep up or be left on the proverbial roadside. It can be confusing to choose from the array of available tools, as well as know the best ones to help get the job done with the least amount of effort and best outcome for the whole team.
Diane Haines, Translation Department Manager at The Geo Group, has been invited to speak at the SDL University Roadshow to be held in Chicago this fall. SDL’s Tony Ezpeleta says, “We are pleased to have Diane share her knowledge of SDL products as they apply to Project Management. Her expert status comes from her 16 years working in the localization industry.”
Haines will illuminate attendees with her skill in technical problem solving, as it applies to foreign language localization, and expertise in translation memory management. With having the responsibility for screening, hiring and managing over 600 contract translators and interpreters in addition to managing her staff of five project managers, Haines relies on effective tools.
“Technology has changed drastically over the years driving a change in the skills needed to project manage work to meet or exceed client specifications. I am happy to be a part of the University Roadshow to share my experiences,” says Diane Haines.
