Geo Group technicians.
Interpreters sit in sound-proof booths and interpret the speaker’s message into the target
language. The foreign language audience will hear the message using headphones and a receiver.
This method allows the presenter to speak at a constant rate without waiting for interpretation
to take place.
Simultaneous interpreting can also be performed without equipment. In this case, the interpreter
sits close to the participant and provides the interpretation at a reduced volume.
