As you said, it is an excellent opportunity for the client to set the key terminology for that and future projects. From the transator´s perspective, it is a of a lot of help to get the feedback from one expert in the sector, the client. Although we sometimes spend a lot of time researching the terminology, we do not always get the find terminology, specially in very technical fields we are not so familiar with.
